How to Play — Capital City
Roll the dice and move around the board. Pass START to collect
$200
.
Land on an unowned property, station, or utility and you may
buy
it — or decline and send it to
auction
for everyone.
Land on someone else's property and pay
rent
. Rent rises with houses and hotels; owning a full colour set doubles base rent and lets you build.
Build
evenly across a colour set you fully own (4 houses → a hotel). Houses and hotels are limited by the bank.
Mortgage
property for quick cash (no rent while mortgaged); lift it later for the mortgage value + 10%.
Trade
anything — cash, property, and Release Passes — with any player, anytime.
Detention:
roll doubles, pay $50, or use a Release Pass to get out. Three doubles in a row sends you straight to Detention.
Can't pay a debt? Raise cash by selling and mortgaging — or go
bankrupt
. Last player standing wins.
